Welcome to My World
I have been in EMS since 2015. In these past few short years, I have gone through the ups and downs of patient care. The beauty of helping those in need and pain, and the defeat of trying my hardest when my hardest wasn’t enough.
I have been thinking a lot about my next step in my career: flight medic? nursing? leaving the healthcare field entirely? None of these options felt right for me in the current time.
So, I sat down one night and typed out some of the calls that have had the biggest impact. Some stories are happy and rewarding. Others, still haunt me to this day. I called them “Untold Stories of EMS” because outside of the world of real-life healthcare, our profession has been sensationalized. This is my chance to share my stories with the world while developing my writing, editing, and publishing skills.
